The ram is the foundation of any flock. We generally use rams for breeding in 2 year cycles, and then seek out fresh genetics.

Purebred Dorset Rams

Crabcake.

Crabcake came from Stunkel Dorsets in central Maryland. Purchased as a Fall Ram Lamb, he bred in 2019 and 2020. He is now retired.

Kai.

The first sire at PHD was named Kai. He was a sweet boy, purchased from Lauden Acres in Eastern Pennsylvania. Kai bred ewes in 2017 and 2018, and is now retired in Maryland.

Now a 3 year old Buck, bred the flock in 2022 and 2023, son of Hammer Down (National Champ), and purchased from Purple Ribbon Farms at the Ohio Dorset Sale.

Gramdinho

Sired by Ballard, Dam is Scotch Lane ewe. This guy is an ideal specimen. Brings a killer front end, perfect hip, and serious length to our flock. Plan on mixing him with some deep ribbed females. Will breed in 2024 after showing complete.
